About the Role
We have an exciting, permanent, full-time opportunity for a dedicated Plant Operator to join our high performing and committed team at Cosgrove Quarry. As the newest member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our quarry mobile and fixed plant equipment.
Key Duties
- Safe and efficient operation of heavy mobile equipment such as front-end loaders, haul trucks, excavators and water carts including weighing and loading of sales trucks
- Safe and efficient operation of the fixed crushing and screening plant
- Basic maintenance and plant housekeeping
- Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
- Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting
About You
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a small team with minimal supervision
- Experience working within a team such that you can demonstrate multi skilling across a wide range of tasks
- Availability to work Monday to Saturday
- Experience in mobile plant operation highly regarded but not essential
- Quarry experience highly regarded, but not essential
- Trade qualification as Boilermaker/Fitter highly regarded
