As we expand into more products and markets, we require an experienced PLC Automation Engineer to join the dynamic team located at our Production Facility.. Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary education – Bachelor of Engineering (Automation/Electrical/ Instrumentation/Mechatronics)
- Experience with PLC programming (using IEC 61131-3 standard languages)
- Experience with SCADA systems programming
- Experience with Beckhoff PLC equipment highly regarded.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Automation of manufacturing environment
- Programming of automated equipment
- Working with multidisciplinary team to deliver automation solutions.
- Ensure safety in design standards are followed.
- Specifying components required to automate mechanical systems.
- Programming PLC equipment.
- Programming SCADA environment.
- Providing support for machine breakdown and trouble shooting.
- Commissioning automated systems.
- Developing and maintaining clear and accurate documentation of automation equipment or processes
- Troubleshooting automated processes or equipment when faults occur
