Your experience in land management, agricultural industry systems and evidence-based approaches will see you deliver agricultural practice change initiatives and projects under the Queensland Reef Water Quality Program - QRWQP.
Collaborating with the agricultural and research sector, community, and government partners, you will manage key projects and contracts with a focus on effective and timely services that support farmers and enhance outcomes for sugarcane, grazing, horticulture and banana sectors and the GBR. You will provide technical advice to assist with the development of policy, focusing on agricultural management practices especially with respect to nutrient, sediment and pesticide management.As part of proactive team, you will work to:
- develop and enhance policy and standards and their translation into industry and government programs.
- transition emerging behavioural insights, experience and evidence-based research into new policy and best practice standard.
- refine monitoring, evaluation and reporting that informs adaptive management and showcases investment impact.

You will lead projects as part of the ‘supporting Agricultural industry' work area under the QRWQP, such as industry led practice change projects and Best Management Practice (BMP) program, assurance systems, policy and processes (particularly under the Environment Protection Act).You will enjoy applying your skills and knowledge in the context of contemporary agricultural practice and catchment management policy, legislation and government programs. You add value to the team by having proven ability to manage project workloads, work autonomously and be an effective team member. You have proven research and problem-solving skills, demonstrated written and verbal communication, negotiation and liaison skills.
