Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland government department to recruit a Policy Officer contract to 30/05/2024 plus 3 month extension based in the Brisbane CBD and working from home.
Integrating with corporate and local management stakeholders, along with external service providers, this role will manage the dynamics of engagement across all levels, up to senior and Executive levels. Therefore, high professional maturity, high emotional intelligence and the ability to “read the room” are mandatory. It will also consider the connectivity of future implementation communication, change resistance, change management, and information accessibility, given this policy framework will be the first formal approach as to how the client manages their infrastructure base.
In this role you will:
- Produce an overarching Asset Management Policy with linkage to the Financial Accountability Act 2009, Financial Management Performance Standard 2019, Financial Management Practice Manual and Queensland’s Building Policy Framework
- Produce a Building Performance Management Framework with quantitative and qualitative measures that will be required to be adopted to inform asset investment prioritisation and functional deficiency with respect to building security standards.
- Produce a sub policy to the Information Security Policy to ensure the Infrastructure Command has a policy framework to implement controlled processes for the management of operational technology specific to electronic security systems cyber security management with the purpose to comply with Queensland Government's Information security policy (IS18:2018) and enable the Assistant Commissioner, Infrastructure to attest and confirm the validity of the security status over operational technology to the Chief Digital Officer.
- Develop/update existing procedural workflow documents to ensure accountable decision making and appropriate assurance of:
- Project initiation processes
- Project quality assurance for alignment with security standards
You will have:
- Evidence of policy framework formulation experience including ability to combine research, analysis, operational outcomes, legislative knowledge and service requirements
- High calibre written experience for all aspects of this role – policy, briefs, presentations, reports, progress updates, business cases – and similar
- Project planning, prioritisation and management experience; risk management protocols, start/finish focus to delivery outcomes
- Team player / team member capabilities, with high stakeholder engagement able to build good relationships and networks. Being a self starter with high attention to detail is crucial, as is being respected as a recognised as a SME. They will also need the natural ability cope with moving deadlines, priorities, and similar as tasks progress or change.
