Our client is a market leader in Polymer Concrete drainage products including internal drainage, stormwater drainage, cable and ducting systems as well as other products for niche applications in the construction industry.
About the role:
- Lead a team on two Polymer Concrete production lines to ensure they are working safely and producing products that comply with quality standards within the Group production layout guidelines.
- Oversee at first hand the production of high-quality Polymer Concrete products from both production lines.
- Ensure constant continuity of workflow at shop floor level on both production lines.
- Receive, and implement objectives, from Polymer Concrete Manager to run Polymer concrete shift.
- Role is based in Emu Plains and will likely will be 4 days per week Monday- Thursday ( 5am- 3pm).
Role responsibilities including:
- Hands on leadership at floor level to team members for both production lines to achieve company production objectives.
- Ensure Production data/statistics are recorded at end of each shift for both production lines.
- Oversee the training of new and ongoing training of existing team members, and monitor employee attendance and correct working hours.
- Ensure team members of both production lines, and other staff, understand and work to safety requirements at all times.
- Liaise with and support, the Polymer Concrete Production Manager in the implementation and maintenance of quality goals and standards for both production lines.
- Ensure Shift production is set up for both production lines with relevant moulds, components, finished goods pallets and work stations and monitor for quality control, supply levels and efficiency.
- Oversee/Unload/load deliveries of materials, stock as required to ensure continual running of both lines.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and actively participate in company meetings and work to add value to the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
About you:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, and create teams as required.
- Understanding of manufacturing environment
- Strong WH&S knowledge and commitment
- Good oral communication skills
- Basic computer literacy skills
