Job DescriptionAre you passionate about making a positive impact on community health? EACH is seeking a dedicated Population Health Officer to join our Prevention and Population Health team in a part-time, ongoing capacity!
As a Population Health Officerat EACH, you will work collaboratively with a range of groups and settings to achieve identified goals, objectives, initiatives and actions outlined in the team’s strategic and annual action plans. This varied role will see you:
- Contributing to the planning and development of the prevention and Population Health program using best-practice approaches,
- Identifying and applying for funding opportunities to support the effectiveness of the program,
- Building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders for effective program delivery,
- Preparing clear and concise research and evaluation reports as required by EACH and funding bodies

QualificationsTo thrive in this role, you will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Tertiary-level qualifications in health promotion (preferable), community development, project management, nutrition and/or dietetics
- Advanced experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating prevention and health promotion initiatives in community settings
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within budgetary constraints
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders and work with people from diverse backgrounds
- A current Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Full Australian working rights and a National Police Clearance
- A valid Australian Drivers Licence

The Prevention and Population Health Team seeks to prevent health and wellbeing problems from occurring and offers a range of prevention, Population Health and health promotion services in the Knox and Maroondah local government areas.
