Follow the link to find out what its like to live, work and play in our wonderful region:About the role:Come and join our dynamic Health Planning and Prevention team within the Goulburn Valley Public Health Unit, for this 10 month parental leave position! Our team's delivery focus is to manage and implement the Primary Care and Population Health Plan to improve the health of our communities. We have strong partnerships within GV Health and externally across the system to ensure together we can make a difference to the Population Health of our catchment.We are looking for a candidate who has experience in Health Promotion, Systems Thinking and Collective Impact, which are the critical principles underlying successful implementation and delivery of the Plan. The successful candidate will be able to manage partnerships to continue to support the health promotion projects and regular reporting against the Plan. This is an exciting and dynamic role, working with a diverse array of projects in a supportive and collaborative team. There are flexible working days and hours, including work from home opportunities. Internal or external partner secondments from your current role may be considered.The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in health promotion, public health, or community development.
- Ability to plan and implement evidence based approaches to health promotion planning and evaluation including identification of health promotion priorities and selection of effective interventions and evaluation methodology.
- Ability to use health promotion and community development approaches to strengthen community participation and ownership and create environments and settings that promote health.
- Ability to inform and mobilise individuals and communities by using appropriate media, community resources and social marketing.
- Ability to develop and maintain sustainable partnerships that support the delivery of health promotion initiatives.
