About Us
We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), Victoria's largest independent, locally governed, and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in our community.
What are Primary Health Networks?
PHNs have been established with two key objectives:
- Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of primary health services for community members, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes.
- Improving coordination of care to ensure people receive the right care in the right place, at the right time.
- Effectively managing complex calendar and scheduling requirements according to relevant priorities and deadlines.
- Flexibly supporting shared organisational goals and assisting various functions across projects and teams as needed.
- Providing essential support in organising and executing workshops, meetings, consultations with community and health service providers and other activities. This includes careful recording and distribution of minutes.
- Actively participate in regular reviews of performance, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Performing other relevant duties as assigned.
- Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, or related studies and/or relevant ‘on the job' professional skills and expertise in administration and project support.
- Demonstrated excellent administration skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and maintain a customer service focus.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with management and staff within and across teams to achieve organisational outcomes, and an ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the primary health system in Australia, including its interaction with the acute care sector, as well as the challenges and opportunities.
