Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Private Company to engage anPort Worker. This position is located in their Weipa office for an initial Permanent/Full Time.
About the Position
Make your next career move into a role where you will be part of efficient, safe and effective port services to Weipa. Reporting to the Port Supervisor - Weipa, this role will have the opportunity to shape company's service delivery within the region. Services include undertaking a support role in the first strike response in the event of a marine pollution incident, undertaking shipping activities and general repairs, construction and maintenance services.
Duties
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Required to hold a current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or the ability to obtain a MSIC.
- Current Class Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain Coxswains ticket.
- Experience and broad understanding of minor/general maintenance in a harbour/port or operation facility.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Ability to understand and follow inspection and maintenance plans, drawings and standards, practices and procedures.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- A Trade Certificate, Construction Induction Card (white card) and/or Radio Operators ticket is considered desirable criteria.
