The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and manage all SG2 deviations and warranty issues within the in-service Boxer fleet across all variants. This involves creating and executing a comprehensive plan to address and resolve each SG2 and warranty issue, in collaboration with the Fleet Manager, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other key stakeholders. The role demands prioritising resolutions in alignment with customer requirements, budgetary constraints and coordinating efforts with relevant entities and vendors.
As Post Production Rework and Warranty Manager, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Deviation Management: Oversee and address all SG2 deviations in the Boxer fleet, ensuring thorough investigation, planning and resolution;
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic plan to manage and resolve SG2 deviations across all vehicle variants with comprehensive instructions to support services on resolution requirements;
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with the Fleet Manager, Maintenance and Supply Chain, Engineering, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure cohesive action and problem-solving;
- Prioritisation of Resolution: Work closely with the customer to understand their needs and prioritise SG2 and warranty resolutions accordingly;
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with vendors and external entities to facilitate efficient resolution of deviations in line with operational needs and the maintenance schedule;
- Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor the status of SG2 deviations and warranty issues across the Fleet and provide regular updates to relevant parties;
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all solutions meet the highest quality standards, align with physical baselines, and adhere to industry regulations;
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to prevent future SG2 deviations and warranty issues;
- Team Leadership: Lead and guide team members, from a functional perspective, involved in deviation and warranty management, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment; and
- Compliance and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive resolution documentation of all SG2 deviations and warranty issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
About your new team
The Post Production Rework and Warranty Manager will be a crucial member of the expanding Service Delivery and Performance team, located in Redbank. This team is responsible for interim service support and sustainment service delivery within RDA land contracts. Specifically, the Post Production Rework and Warranty Manager will be working on LAND 400 Phase 2 tasks initially, branching out as other contracts are amalgamated into the service delivery teams remit.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably in the automotive or defence industry;
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, particularly SG2 deviations and warranty management, and experience in managing large fleets;
- Project Management Skills: Proven track record in planning and execution of complex projects.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems and drive solutions;
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders and vendors;
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team;
- Organisational Skills: Good organizational and time-management skills, with a knack for prioritizing tasks effectively; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
