Power BI Developer – Finance Data Specialist
Permanent Position, minimum 5yrs experience
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Power BI Developer with excellent Finance data domain knowledge to join our Data Governance & Analytics team. As a Power BI Developer, you will be designing and developing rich and innovative reports and dashboards in Power BI, focused on delivery insights to our Finance, Business Development, Procurement and Supply Chain stakeholders. This role is key to transforming our business and growing our analytics capability and Azure enterprise data platform.
The Power BI Developer – Finance Data Specialist role is responsible for:
- Working with our Finance and Procurement stakeholders to deliver innovative, interactive, and insightful data visualisations in user-friendly PBI reports and dashboards.
- Build performance-tuned DAX and PBI models aligned with best practice and industry standard for optimal data model and reporting performance.
- Ensuring large and/or complex data is accessible, understandable, usable, and conveys key messages and insights through appropriate data visualisation techniques and methods.
- Develop and manage self-service capability and standards in collaboration with wider community of practice.
- Establishing data visualisation standards across the business, enhancing organisational capabilities in data visualisation and associated techniques.
Additionally, you must demonstrate:
- Knowledge and experience in PBI development in the Finance & Procurement data domain.
- Strong data visualisation stills including the ability to deliver clear, targeted and impactful data visualizations and report user experience.
- Experience in building innovative stories in BI tools to identify and communicate business insights to support effective decision-making.
- Extensive experience designing and developing reports and performance metrics from complex and disparate transactional systems.
- Excellent business acumen with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Health Informatics or related business area.
