The role: The Power Generation Engineer is responsible for the safe, reliable and effective operation and maintenance of the site's Power Generation infrastructure. As the Power Generation Engineer, your responsibilities will include identifying and executing improvement projects, project managing the upgrade of site Power Generation assets, working closely with the operations, maintenance and engineering teams to ensure associated power stations processes and systems are aligned with site requirements and Australian standards, supporting and facilitating the site's Senior Engineer-Power Generation to ensure Best Practice, mobilising and managing technical resources to execute improvement programs, conducting performance evaluations, initiating system performance enhancements and performing RCA and problem resolution. Selection Criteria: This role will suit a dynamic engineer who has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. You will need a thorough understanding of Aero Derivative Open Cycle Gas Turbines and Diesel Fire Reciprocating Engineer Power Plants, High and Low Voltage Switchgear, Generator Circuit Breakers, Electric Motors, Power Transformers, Turbo Generators, Automatic Regulators, Brushless Excitation Systems, DC Battery Charges and UPS systems. Your excellent technical and problem-solving skills together with your experience using MS Office programs will see you secure this rewarding role. (Exposure to GE LM6000 is desirable).
