Starting from humble beginnings as a small bootcamp in Surry Hills, today, we are a team of 250 Great Humans on a mission to “Inspire Change” in the Global Fitness Industry.
In March 2023, Fitness Playground became One Playground. This change represents our move beyond just fitness, and aesthetics, to become an all-encompassing Playground for all things health, fitness and wellness.

WHAT ARE WE?
At One Playground, we are committed to creating the best gyms, not the most gyms.
We are a new kind of gym, a ‘super-boutique’, giving members complete access to everything fitness and wellness, with one membership.
Our mission is to defy expectations by offering award-winning designs, fostering connected communities, providing a wide range of classes, and employing exceptional individuals who are passionate about what they do.

THE ROLE
2024 has marked the biggest growth phase for us including:
- Exciting new landmark locations opening in the second half of the year.
- Strategic partnerships & collaborations with iconic brands.
- And member experiences that push boundaries and inspire change in the global health & fitness industry.
For the right candidate, you won't just write; you'll inspire action across all channels and mediums in this multifaceted role. You'll lead the charge in spreading the One Playground message of health and wellness, inspiration, and community engagement.
Your Responsibilities:
- Communications Strategy: Develop and execute high-impact content and communication strategies that leave a lasting mark on our community.
- Inspiring Content: Create content that's more than words, its purpose-driven and engaging, entertaining and educational. Whether it be the written word, or a visual cue our communications are there to inspire and engage, showcasing the essence of One Playground.
- Public Relations Partner: Forge partnerships with media, brand partners, celebrities and influencers to amplify our message, via aligned brands and key opinion leaders.
- Event Execution: Promote our events and classes to drive participation and community involvement, both with internal and external partners.
- Member Engagement: Craft compelling content, social media stories, and newsletters that ignite our members’ spirits and fuel their journeys, strengthening the bonds of our community.
- Internal Engagement: Keep our team motivated, informed, and aligned with our mission. Empower them to be champions too, fostering a culture of growth and excellence. You will also be the calm in the storm, handling any challenges that arise with composure.
- Brand Guardian: Ensure our brand standards and tone of voice remain consistent across all communication platforms.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with our marketing, design, and operations teams to create a winning strategy.
What's in Your Toolkit:
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- A track record of successful communications and content strategies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in social media, an essential tool in the One Playground arsenal.
- Strong organisational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
- A passion for fitness and a deep belief in One Playground's mission.
