Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manager who can seamlessly blend HR expertise with business acumen to ensure the profitability and success of our practice. In addition to overseeing HR operations and community engagement, this role involves understanding and optimising practice metrics, expenses, and salaries to drive profitability and growth. We are looking for someone with transferable skills so training to understand orthodontic practice metrics will be provided by our Orthodontic Consulting Firm. Furthermore, this position will lead the development of a program to foster team culture and collaboration within our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
😃 Human Resources Management:
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures to retain and develop our team
- Liaise with our recruitment agency and Team Leaders, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating onboarding processes.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Liaising with our Team Leaders, facilitate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
🙌🏼 Business Development and Analysis:
- Understand practice metrics, expenses, and salaries to identify areas for optimisation and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with Team Leaders to develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, working closely with our bookkeeper as needed
- Implement systems and processes to monitor and control expenses while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
- Continuously evaluate and refine business practices to drive sustainable growth and long-term success.
❤️ Community Relations Strategy:
- With input from our Team Leaders, develop and execute a comprehensive community relations strategy to enhance the practice's reputation and visibility.
- Establish and nurture relationships with local referring dentists, schools, community organisations, and other stakeholders.
- Organise (with the assistance of our Team Leaders) and participate in community events, sponsorships, and outreach programs to promote the practice and its services.
- Collaborate with our team to provide an support they need with their social media strategy
- Liaise with our digital agency to keep our website up to date
⭐️ Team Culture and Collaboration Program Development:
- Lead the development of a program to foster team culture and collaboration within the organisation.
- Design initiatives to promote teamwork, communication, and mutual support among team members.
- Organise team-building activities, workshops, and training sessions to strengthen bonds and enhance collaboration including identifying industry events that are relevant to our team
- Solicit feedback from team members to identify areas for improvement and refinement of the program.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the program and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment where all team members feel valued and motivated to contribute to the success of the practice.
- Demonstrate team player principles by "walking in the shoes" of our team members, learning various roles across the practice to provide backup support and lead by example.
- Participate in front desk customer service, responding to new inquiries, and even stepping into our clinic to understand how we process sterilisation instruments.
🏆 Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources/Management or related experience in human resource management
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
- Experience in community relations, public relations, or marketing is a plus.
- Ability to understand practice metrics to drive efficiencies
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for building relationships and making a positive impact in the community.
- Leadership experience, with a track record of developing and empowering teams.
