About You: As an experienced Practice Manager, preferably with experience in women’s health or a related medical field, you will play a key role in managing our busy clinic. Your expertise in practice management and proficiency in medical terminology are highly valued. Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient patient care.
- Coordinate and attend management, clinician, and allied health meetings.
- Oversee the creation and management of staff rosters, including admin and nursing teams.
- Manage holiday and leave calendars to ensure adequate coverage.
- Provide leadership in staff and nursing meetings, fostering a positive team environment.
- Drive business development and growth initiatives.
- Manage projects, ensuring timely and effective completion.
- Prepare and write comprehensive reports.
- Engage with the General Manager for effective communication and clinic operation.
- Assist in coordinating activities related to theatre procedures.
- Prepare accounts and receipts for Medicare and private billing.
- Provide, leadership and management to the administrative team, nurses, doctors, and specialists.
- Manage and coordinate accreditation records for clinicians.
- Develop and maintain systems to maximise productivity.
- Manage external orders for the efficient running of the clinic.
Key Criteria - The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager.
- Proficiency with Practice Management Software, including overseeing updates for Genie, MIMs, and MBS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions, solve problems, and adapt to changing healthcare environments.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and delegate tasks.
- Strong IT skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and engage external providers as required.
- Team-oriented and adaptable to change.
- A highly professional and clear, articulate manner.
- Understanding of medical and health-related terminology.
Desirable:
- Managerial experience in a specialist or fertility practice.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and accounting practices.
- Accredited training in business or medical practice management.
