Position Overview:
As the Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of our general practice. In this role, you will manage and support our employees and Health Care Professionals. You will lead our efforts to implement creative solutions that improve patient outcomes, streamline operations, and enhance the overall patient experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with a thorough understanding of healthcare operations and a proven track record of fostering advancement in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations, staffing, and scheduling.
- Drive strategic initiatives for efficiency and quality.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with staff and healthcare providers.
- Oversee EHR implementation and digital solutions.
- Evaluate effectiveness and ensure compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation.
- Manage the reception team workflow, lead and support them to manage patient appointments
- Genuine empathy and care for patient health outcomes
- Billing procedures
- Privacy and quality controls of patient files and notes
- Engagement and management of third parties
- Support Management team with reporting and daily tasks
- Create and support a harmonious, cheerful and engaging practice environment
- Ensure all staff, patients and visitors follow Covid-19 health regulations
- Maintaining the Medicare (My Medicare) Fee Schedule
- Regularly updating the clinics website and support of advertising
- Staff rostering
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a management role, preferably within a General Practice setting
- Proficiency in Best Practice Software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Demonstrated skills in people management
- Experience with recruitment, staff training, and development
- Comprehensive understanding of financial management in a medical business, including Medicare rebates and incentives
- Familiarity with Practice Accreditation
Competitive salary, based on Practice Manager national rate, negotiable based on experience\skills.
