Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our team at Calamvale Medical Centre. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients under the direction of our medical team. General Practice experience is appreciated, as well as knowledge of best practice software, but not essential. Our team of nurses will happily train you in all areas.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conducting patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and presenting complaints.
· Assisting with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
· Administering vaccinations and other medications as prescribed.
· Providing health education to patients and their families.
· Performing routine diagnostic tests, such as ECGs and ABIs.
· Collaborating with the medical team to develop and implement chronic disease management plans.
· Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
· EN or RN AHPRA registration
· Proven experience working within a team.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
· Commitment to delivering patient-centred care and promoting health and wellbeing in the community.
