Pricing Data Scientist

Our vision is to be “the Electrical wholesaler who proactively services customers better than anyone else in Australia.”About the roleThe role will be a critical member of a major pricing transformation program within a current pricing set up. The work will encompass about 30% of the project deliverables but includes 70-80% of the most complex statistical & machine learning models. This will be an exciting project and the models and work will have the capability to drive significant top and bottom line business improvement. We are looking for someone to commit to a minimum 6 -12 month engagement.Key Responsibilities

• Create new Data Science Architecture and Tools

• Design setup of Data Science environment, processes and toolset.
• This is a greenfield opportunity to implement a best practise data science set up.
• Develop a deep understanding of Pricing Datasets in existing BI environment.

• Data Analysis & Modeling

• Conduct thorough data analysis and predictive modelling to create continuously learning models to forecast trends, optimize processes, and drive business outcomes.
• Product x Segment Pricing Sensitivity Models
• Target Margin Pricing Models
• Net Pricing Models including taking data from external marketplace sources
• Cost Intelligence Models

• Pricing Strategy Development and implementation

• Leverage data analytics to formulate and refine dynamic pricing strategies for B2B customer segments.
• Support, monitor and evaluate the performance of the components in the pricing strategies, adapting to changes and updated data patterns.
• Stakeholder Communication

• Present complex pricing strategies and insights in a clear and compelling manner to internal stakeholders.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences through clear visualizations and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a strong background in statistical analysis
• Solid understanding of data manipulation and visualization tools
• Must have 5-10+ years' experience in the latest Data Science tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Should be able to lead the business on the change required
