The Role
We have an opportunity in our national Strategic Pricing team for a motivated, reliable and an individual with an eye for detail. The role is integral to the business by supporting pricing activities and increase in profitability.
Your main responsibilities will be to support, develop and maintain the gross price list, pricing contracts and customer rebates. The Pricing Officer will also generate precise pricing reports and analytical data for the organisation.
Key Activities
- Support to develop and maintain pricing for the Australia Gross Price List product range based on market intelligence and business guidance
- Provide analysis by Product Group, Platform, Customer etc.
- Support to establish and maintain discount structures in SAP for direct customer
- Support all direct and indirect fixed price agreement/contracts
- With the support of the business and market intelligence determine product range and recommended price levels to secure and grow customer business
- Maintain a database of all direct and indirect fixed price agreement/contracts
- Maintain rebate contracts and rebate percentages for customers in SAP
- Perform analysis and deliver insightful reports to support strategic decision-making
- Develop and automate reports that provide insights e.g. monitoring direct and indirect customers price development
- Ensure local pricing policies, processes and work instructions are documented and maintained
Skills and Experience
- Experience in Data Analytics or Pricing
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience working in a cross functional team with key stakeholders
- Experience using Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of SAP ERP system would be an advantage
- Knowledge of industrial mechanical products/tools would be an advantage but not necessary
Qualification
- Tertiary certification preferred or
- Year 12 or equivalent education with relevant experience
This position would also suit someone who is looking for an entry position into pricing with some previous relevant experience who is keen to learn under the guidance of the Strategic Pricing Analyst and Business Controller. It is a full-time position and will be based out of our head office in Oakleigh, hybrid working arrangements will be on offer.
