An exciting opportunity exists to lead a range of projects in the area of Student Engagement and Alternative Learning, including but not limited to, student behaviour, school discipline and other emerging priorities in Queensland state schools. This is a temporary full-time position until 2 May 2025, unless otherwise determined, located in Central Office, Brisbane.

About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Provide information, prepare complex reports, submissions, briefs, memoranda and correspondence relating to sensitive relevant state school issues as they relate to student behaviour.
- Contribute to setting the strategic direction for the branch and ensuring the effectiveness of policies, standards and procedures.
- Establish effective internal and external networks and liaise, communicate and coordinate with key stakeholders to achieve required outcomes.
- Ensure the optimal use of human and financial resources to achieve agreed goals, oversee budget management, where applicable, and manage reporting requirements.
The successful applicant will:
- Provide high level project support on activities relating to Student Engagement and Alternative Learning.
- Lead and manage teams and activities within Schools and Student Support Division to develop new and innovative responses to emerging issues affecting state schools.
- Work within short timeframes with high levels of accuracy and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
