The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Flooding & Hydrology engineer to join our client who provides specialist services in hydrology, dam safety risk management, catchment modelling and water resources.
In this role, you will conduct hydrological and hydraulic investigations and design for a wide range of projects through collaboration with other hydrology and hydraulic teams, drainage teams, Dams teams and water resources advisory teams.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor or Masters’ level degree in civil or environmental engineering and tertiary qualification
- Have 6-10 years of experience in a similar position
- Familiarity with Dam’s related hydrology & breach assessment will be highly regarded
- Familiarity with Dam’s condition and consequence category assessments and yield studies will be highly regarded
- Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate information and modelling results
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively at both an internal and external client-facing level
- Ability to lead junior staff and provide mentorship
- Demonstrated experience managing projects to quality, time and budget
- Demonstrated expertise and leadership in at least one or more of the following domains
- Water demand management
- Commercial and industrial water efficiency planning and implementation
- Integrated urban water management, including water sensitive urban design
- Urban water resource planning, strategy and management
- Urban water policy, regulation, economic or governance
- Utility operations, including urban water asset planning and management
