Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Principal Change and Planning - Project Controls & Analysis, for a major planned maintenance (shutdown) campaign within a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to a commitment to major asset maintenance and upgrades to improve performance on the project, this exciting opportunity is available. Interviews and commencements will occur over the next few weeks.
Key responsibilities of this role include leading a functional area of this major project's development through life cycle phases. You will play a significant role in delivering business value through the development of superior safety, scope, cost, schedule, and quality outcomes.
About the role:
- Apply an understanding of the business context, operating model, and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity, and value chain performance
- Define project objectives and schedules, identify critical activities, monitor the project plan/schedule and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Apply and evaluate change management methods, data, purpose, value, and direction
- Plan, track and manage the delivery of project planning to generate and drive project value and outcomes
- Support the interface between multiple projects and enable a culture of trust and performance within the team
The successful candidate will possess:
- Significant industry knowledge, ideally from the the mining, manufacturing and/or construction industries
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership position in major construction projects
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in planning of construction projects in execution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced time management and prioritization skills
- Ideally the successful candidate will bring a strong network across a diverse set of project functions
- Strong influencing skills with an ability to interface across the entire project teams
- Task oriented, with a bias to working autonomously
- Major Projects Experience - Experience in major capital projects spanning different phases would be considered an asset
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with heavy fixed plant, resources and mining experience. Take this opportunity to secure a rare 12 month contract role, with scope to extend, offered on a 5/2 Adelaide based roster.
