Principal Consultant Position, based in Perth
Our passionate and talented Apps & Integration team are currently seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to join their practice.

About our Principal Consultant position:
Principal Consultants are sales focused technology specialists, who are viewed as trusted advisors by clients. This person will act as the technical lead on projects, overseeing a number of Technical/Delivery Consultants on larger engagements. The Principal Consultant will also be responsible for assisting with the development of Intellectual Property (IP) in their expertise areas.
Responsibilities will include:
• Act as a leader for the differentiation of Insight’s technical capability.
• Develop solution knowledge and share this IP both locally and Asia Pacific wide.
• Focus on assisting the practice team to meet the Services Practice’s financial target.
• Provide input to the definition and architecture of client centric solutions.
• Assist with client proposals and engage early on in the client planning and solution definition phase.
• Working together with Account Managers (AM) and Project Managers (PM), define the roadmap and milestones for each project, and the required involvement of delivery teams.
• Responsible for the delivery of solutions against pre-agreed specifications.
• Effective interaction with AM/PM to ensure technical delivery to client expectations and satisfaction.
• On all engagements the Principal Consultant should own the proposed solution, oversee the Delivery Consultant team members and remain engaged with the client.
• Lead, guide and mentor Delivery Consultant team members.
• Take responsibility as the technical representative of Insight within strategic accounts to develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for Insight.
• Focus on maintaining 80% chargeability through billing for solution design and transition to delivery.
• Develop profile as a technical leader in an Insight specialist solution area.
Experience required:
• Excellent client-facing manner and ability to liaise to C-level (role includes frequent presales, demonstration will be required)
• Substantial experience in technical roles within a Services environment.
• Ability to map client’s business needs to Insight’s technology solution offerings.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships.
• Ability to engage and lead a team of Delivery Consultant team members
• Very strong written communication, including production of high-quality technical artefacts and presales contributions (proposals and presentations)
• Proven analysis skills with the ability to work with a client to understand requirements, define and present appropriate solution, and oversee delivery of a solution to the client.
• Comfortable with presenting and communicating technical solutions.
• A team player willing to develop and share IP within the organisation.
• Strong analysis, architecture, design and implementation skills and experience (8+ years)
• Tertiary Education qualifications preferred.
Technical experience:
• Demonstrated hands on experience in designing, building and implementing Microsoft solutions based around Azure PaaS.
• Solid experience with Azure Integration Services including API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus and Event Grid.
• Deep knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns, Microservices, as well as Hybrid Cloud to On-Premises and Cloud to Cloud Integration Architectures.
• Experience developing using C# .Net
• Full Stack (with front-end ability/skills around JS frameworks like – React, Angular, Vue etc.)
• Experience in DevOps practices including automated CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience in App Migration/ Modernisation / Lift and Shift
