About the Role
The Principal Enablement role in BHP Exploration is part of the MEX Portfolio and Performance Team and aims to support the global team in defining and driving the enablement pillar for BHP MELT globally. The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Establishing and owning the People Enablement strategy for BHP Exploration.
- Identifying and defining the global people priorities for BHP Exploration that will enable the delivery of the People Enablement strategy.
- Designing initiatives required to support the delivery of identified priorities and collaborating with the central technical team to deploy these initiatives.
- Leading any continuous improvement initiatives necessary to deliver on the identified people priorities.
- Supporting the Head of Portfolio and Performance in leading the culture change agenda for BHP Exploration, including ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, monitoring progress, and embedding our behaviors/Key Behavior Indicators (KBIs).
- Acting as the subject matter expert for people, talent, capability, and learning requirements for BHP Exploration and the "exploration" career segment.
- Establishing and owning the change management office that supports all strategic initiatives for MELT and BHP Exploration.
- Working closely with the global exploration leadership team to understand people and workforce requirements and define people priorities.
- Supporting communication and engagement activities of the global exploration leadership team with key stakeholders within and outside BHP.
About You
To be considered a good candidate for the Principal Enablement role in BHP Exploration, certain key criteria are expected to be met:
- Solid previous experience in leadership and strategic management in organizational development.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective initiatives related to talent development and growth.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external leaders, as well as regional and functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at different levels within the organization.
- Experience in global organizational change management.
- Deep knowledge of the mining sector or related industries would be highly valued.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, including direct employees, contractors, and external vendors.
- Results-oriented, analytical skills, and ability to make strategic decisions based on data.
