About the role
To provide high level professional support to the Manager and General Manager by undertaking complex analysis and providing strategic advice and direction in areas including:
- the Annual Financial Statements Process,
- month end closure, compliance and reporting, and
- emerging Financial Accounting issues.
About you

Within the context of the responsibilities described above under Key Accountabilities, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Experience in a Financial Accounting environment for a large organisation.
- Experience in the planning and preparation of annual financial statements for a large organisation.
- Knowledge of contemporary financial accounting issues impacting a large, not for profit organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to assess the complex financial information needs of management and provide expert advice within the context of a complex system.
- Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal, negotiation skills with expertise in developing and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work within and contribute significantly towards successful teams.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage staff in line with quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
