Job description:
To lead and support the work of the Child Abuse Royal Commission Response Unit, through policy development and analysis and provision of advice related to the Tasmanian Government’s response to the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and the emerging findings and recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government's Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
Provide leadership and undertake complex strategy, policy and program development and provide specialist and authoritative policy advice to the State of Tasmania and its Agencies in response to broad-ranging issues arising from the implementation of recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and from the Commission of Inquiry into the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government's Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings.
Apply expertise, undertake research and analysis, and prepare and provide relevant and authoritative policy and project advice to the State of Tasmania and its Agencies on matters of strategic priority to the Department, particularly the administration of the Tasmanian Government’s participation in the National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse.
Establish and enhance relationships, and liaise, work collaboratively and consult, with internal and external stakeholders including Departmental and Ministerial staff, external agencies, and lived experience advocates, on the prevention of and response to child sexual abuse in institutional settings.
Lead, plan and manage the delivery of complex team projects and initiatives, and support other staff to ensure milestones are achieved and outcomes delivered on time and within resource constraints, within a small, multidisciplinary team environment.
Represent the Agency as required by the Director.
Essential Requirements
A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.

Desirable Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
