Duties- Delivery of the central coordination function, ensuring that the department responds appropriately and in a timely and effective matter on all issues which require input from across multiple groups.
- Lead complex strategy, policy and program development and management across the department’s breadth of work, supported by high quality research, investigation and analysis.
- Support and lead the preparation of advice, briefings, correspondence and submissions that represent a whole of agency view.
- Represent State Growth as required and deliver timely, relevant and authoritative policy and project advice on matters of strategic importance to the Tasmanian Government.
- Plan and manage the delivery of projects and tasks in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders using appropriate management tools and techniques to ensure milestones are achieved and outcomes delivered on time and within resource constraints.
- As required, allocate and monitor the work undertaken by project team members, ensuring that all parties are fully briefed on proposed tasks, agreed standards of delivery, timelines and expected outcomes.
- Establish and build productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective engagement, and where relevant, that consultative processes and objectives are achieved within time constraints.
- Maintain a flexible and agile approach to the assignment of duties in order to help the department meet critical and evolving business needs and contribute to both a collaborative approach.
- In conjunction with the broader team, actively engage and contribute to the development of policy initiatives, project management and business practices that enhance the quality of the division’s outputs.
