The Principal Procurement Officer is responsible to the Manager Procurement and Contracts for providing expert and timely procurement advice and support on a diverse range of procurements. The incumbent will ensure value for money is realised, contracts deliver the required outcomes, and risks are appropriately managed across Super SA.
This is a newly created role and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to stage their knowledge and practical experience and contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement and best practice procurement in compliance with the South Australian Government Procurement Framework.
To be successful, you must address the selection criteria below in your cover letter:
- Significant experience working in a diverse procurement environment, providing advice to Senior Management and key procurement stakeholders, enforcing policies and processes to drive best practice compliance and monitoring.
- Experience and knowledge of the procurement function across all stages (end to end), including needs identification, planning, preparation of documentation, evaluation criteria, negotiation, and contract establishment.
- Extensive knowledge of whole of Government procurement and contract management regulations, frameworks, systems, policies, and risk management practices.
- Proven ability to plan, lead, implement, evaluate, and manage multiple, diverse procurement projects and tasks.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to implement continuous procurement improvement initiatives and strategies to continue to drive change and efficiencies across the organisation.
- Experience in building relationships with stakeholders and encouraging best practice procurement methods, outcomes and value for money.

Remuneration
ASO7 - $106,512 - $115,137 p.a. (plus Superannuation)
