With a legacy spanning over 160 years, QBuild has played a vital role in building and maintaining government-owned facilities, including schools, social housing, police stations, correctional facilities, and ambulance stations.
The primary purpose of the position is to manage and coordinate the Housing portfolio, including delivery of the responsive maintenance service for the region and working with key stakeholders to implement improvements to ensure a standard of quality and compliance in accordance with customer expectations.
The position supervises a team of staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering projects and programs for partner agencies ensuring value for money, efficiencies and agreed outcomes are achieved.
• Maintaining and reporting on the status of Upgrade and Maintenance programs, including information on budget, expenditure, delivery timeframes and related matters to ensure value for money is achieved.
• Coordinate, supervise and provide expertise in the delivery of responsive maintenance service for the region; including identifying areas of risk, working with the Call Centre team, field staff, subcontractors and other business areas to implement quality improvements in accordance with legislation and customer expectations.
• High level leadership and supervisory skills and ability to direct and manage a team to achieve service level performance targets ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and practices.
• Developing and enhancing client relationships through effective communication, sound negotiation and successful project and program delivery.
• Development and implementation of required procurement frameworks and associated procedures to ensure efficient and effective contract management and administration is delivered across the region
• Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
