Principal Project Officer

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

We currently have one position available for 12 months with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Directorate Profile: The System Improvement Unit (SIU) is responsible for system wide reform programs including the Emergency Access Reform Program, the Outpatient Reform Program and the Community Services Strategy. SIU works closely with all Health Service Providers, community and primary care agencies, consumer organisations and other areas of the Department of Health to bring about system wide change and improve patient experiences and outcomes.

Position Profile:  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Principal Project Officer to join the System Improvement Unit, within the Department of Health. The Principal Project Officer will lead data-driven improvement initiatives and provide innovative thinking in identifying solutions to complex problems. The role will work closely with multiple stakeholders, using qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills, to develop and evaluate strategic initiatives and provide evidenced based decision making on areas of reform focus.
