- $109,817.33 - $123,936.67 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

About Tourism & Events
The Tourism & Events team are the creative hub responsible for the promotion of visitation to the Toowoomba Region and the delivery of events, including the iconic Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, which has overall attendance exceeding 400,000, has won awards for the best major event in Australia on multiple occasions, and has been awarded a place in the National Tourism Hall of Fame. You will work across multiple locations throughout the beautiful Toowoomba region, showcasing and promoting the unique opportunities we offer through your involvement with our Visitor Information Centres, tourism industry bodies and your participation in the delivery of a multitude of events. The diversity of this team is demonstrated by the range of events they deliver including the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, Summer Tunes, Christmas in the CBD, Mayoral Carols by Candlelight, Australia Day, Anzac Day and the over 80’s Mayoral Christmas Parties – to name a few. This is an exciting and challenging role for an individual who loves our region and all it has to offer, and has a desire to put the Toowoomba Region on the map as a must-do tourism destination.
About the position
The Principal Tourism & Events will be responsible for strategically positioning the Toowoomba Region as a tourism and events destination of choice and offering a diverse range of experiences catering to a broad audience. This includes but isn’t limited to, building and maintaining a wide variety of positive, professional relationships, identifying and developing inclusive sustainable tourism and event opportunities and providing strong leadership and support to the Tourism and Events team.
This position will work under broad direction.
