The Role
We have an exciting newly designed opportunity for an experienced Events & Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This position will support the business development function through the implementation of local and national strategies, to assist business growth. The role requires an organised multitasker, able to handle diverse projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the creation of a 12-month marketing strategy and budget.
- Coordinating and executing advertising and sponsorship opportunities for ongoing brand awareness.
- Work closely with external marketing agencies and suppliers to provide briefs and deadlines for campaigns.
- Ongoing management of new social media and website content/updates.
- Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for program success.
- Implement database communications.
- Content development and creation for online and offline channels.
- Manage collateral design and production.
- Plan meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules, manage invitations, venues, speakers etc.
- Assist where required with scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for events.
- Maintain inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials when necessary.
- Greet and assist visitors, providing them with necessary information and ensuring a positive experience.
- Other duties as assigned to support the Office Manager, Business Development staff and Directors.
Education Requirements
- Tertiary qualification (Marketing, Communications or other related field)
Demonstrated Experience and Attributes
- At least 3 years relevant work experience.
- Understanding of marketing philosophies and practices.
- High level of initiative, adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office 365 and Canva.
- Previous experience in digital platforms, including marketing automation and CMS.
- Competent with all key social media platforms.
