Events Coordinator
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a highly organised and service-oriented Events Coordinator to join our vibrant Events/Sales Team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is a full-time, permanent position.
As one of Brisbane’s premier events venues, The Greek Club delivers memorable experiences where Weddings, Engagements, Christenings, Formals and Corporate Conferences are enjoyed by all our guests. With over 1000sqm of event space and fantastic views over Brisbane’s CBD, The Greek Club offers 11 versatile event spaces under one roof, as well as our Award-winning Nostimo Restaurant and Bar. Our Grand Ballroom is one of the biggest in Brisbane with seating for up to 650 people and has hosted many beautiful weddings, and other social and corporate functions, for more than 45 years.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your creative flair and ideas for their big day into an amazing reality at a venue that literally sells itself. We aim to create exceptional experiences for our clients and their guests, every time, no matter what size of event. Everyone is welcome at the Greek Club, and we are happy to cater for the largest and smallest of events.
THE PERSON
You will be an accomplished Events Coordinator with experience delivering memorable weddings and other social and corporate events. Success in this role requires a highly responsive professional with strong verbal and written communication skills. With a demonstrated ability to convert enquiries into sales, you also understand what it takes to deliver a ‘good’ versus an ‘exceptional’ event, are flexible and empathetic and can keep your cool under pressure. With a commitment to exceeding your clients’ expectations, you will have an attention to detail that is second to none and will be accessible to work with your clients after hours or on weekends as required. With at least 3 years of experience delivering end-to-end events coordination, you will have the maturity and sensitivity to naturally connect with people from all cultural backgrounds.
