The Aurenne Group is a private company who acquired the historic Mt Ida - Bottle Creek gold field, 80 km north-west of Menzies in 2019. Last mined by Norgold in the late 1980’s and following extensive resource definition drilling from 2017, a successful PFS and DFS. Commissioned by GR Engineering Ltd in April and commissioned in May 2023, the newly constructed Mt. Ida Gold Processing Plant is a 1.5m tpa CIL plant.
Reporting to the Processing Manager, the Processing Plant Superintendent supervises and provides technical direction for the Processing department and is responsible to direct and coordinate all activities of the Processing Plant operations including the stockpile management, crushing, grinding, reagents, gold room and tailings storage facility. You will also introduce processes and systems to ensure safe and efficient operational practices and pursue optimum efficiency and continuous improvement in the process plant.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating maintenance projects including shutdowns.
• Developing systems for efficient management of plant maintenance in coordination with the maintenance team ensuring plant optimisation.
• Developing, implementing & maintain safe work procedures that promote & comply with the Aurenne Occupational Health & Safety Policy.
Qualifications & Experience:
Critical
• Minimum 7 years in a similar role in Mining.
• An excellent working knowledge of all stages of gold mineral processing
• Good people & management skills with experience in contemporary staff management skills.
• Experience in project start-ups, including development of documentation, procedures & strategies.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to be flexible with work hours/roster dependent of operational needs.
Desirable
• Tertiary qualified in processing, chemical engineering or metallurgy
• Certificate IV – Training & Assessment.
• Pronto experience.
