Pay rate: $55.24 p/h ex super

About the Role:

The APS 5 Procurement and Contracts Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex research, analysis and advice work.

Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position as it provides procurement advice.

Duties:

• Provide procurement advice and support to the broader business.
• Assist with tracking value for money-based outcomes and prepare reports against KPIs.
• Prepare a range of procurement-related documentation.
• Draft correspondence and reports, including emails and letters.
• Enter, extract and manipulate data to enable accurate reporting for the business.
• Contribute to Team and Branch planning activities including identifying opportunities for improvements.
• Provide level administrative support to the Procurement Team, managing confidential and sensitive information.

Required skills and experience required for the Role include:

• Demonstrated understanding of federal Government procurement processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Intermediate understanding of the MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrated experience managing high-volume requests and ability to multitask.
• Ability to remain composed in a changing, fast-paced environment.

Desirable skills and experience for the Role include:

• Previous experience using Procurement, HR and/or Finance business systems.
