AddressWe currently have a 3-month contract position with opportunity for extension for a Procurement and Contract Specialist within our Client’s Projects team.
Your role, in summary, will be to engage the market for suppliers providing services and products for various Rail Infrastructure and related Projects planned and underway ensuring that correct internal processes are followed.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare Request for Tenders/Proposals/Quotes (RFx) documents
- Evaluate submissions from suppliers and contractors
- Prepare contract documentation (standard templates, supported internally by legal team) and facilitate execution of contracts
- Issue and manage purchase orders to suppliers
- Ensure compliance, and provide guidance and advice on Procurement and commercial related policies, procedures, standards and systems
Skills and Requirements
- Prior experience in a similar role (Purchasing, Procurement, Contracts, Commercial, Projects etc.)
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline Law, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering or similar would be beneficial
- Experience in running a Rfx process to source and engage suppliers
- Good verbal and written skills including the ability to interface with various internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with SAP Ariba, IBM Maximo, MS SharePoint would be beneficial
- Experience working in rail or related heavy industries would be desirable (e.g. road, defence, oil & gas, mining, power, utilities, telco, construction, council)
- Full Australian Working rights are required for this role
