Job Description
Reporting to the Manager Finance, this role will see you responsible for ensuring the provision of a customer focused and responsive procurement service that meets legislative and statutory requirements. You will also coordinate and facilitate legally compliant, fair, and transparent procurement activities with the aim of achieving the best outcomes for the City and its stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
Ability to process a wide range of procurement activities in a deadline driven environment as well as a sound knowledge, understanding and ability to interpret relevant policies, procedures and legislation including the Local Government Act and associated Regulations in a procurement context.
The successful candidate will also need;
- Experience with procurement processes and contract administration, including liaising with suppliers.
- Experience in leading a small team.
- Relevant qualification in procurement/logistics, supply chain, business/commerce, or law.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to work accurately, under pressure, to meet deadlines, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to participate in, embrace, promote and implement quality improvement and best practice activities.
- National Police Clearance.
