Procurement Governance Manager

The Role
Troocoo are partnering with a leading business within the Education sector to recruit a Procurement Governance Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting into the Associate Director of Procurement, this Procurement Governance Manager will work on enhancing the company’s strategic procurement framework, systems and processes and will oversee key governance activities such as procurement compliance, investigation, reporting and analytics.
Key duties include:

• Develop and implement Procurement Governance strategies, frameworks, and best practices to support strategic objectives and operational needs.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on procurement matters, including risk, compliance, and conflict of interest.
• Co-ordinate regulatory reporting obligations.
• Develop and implement programs related to socially responsible procurement including anti-slavery working group co-ordination and Modern Slavery Act compliance, local benefits, Indigenous procurement and environmentally sustainable purchasing.
• Monitor and report on procurement performance and outcomes relevant to the Procurement Governance framework.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, regulators, and industry bodies.

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated leadership experience within a strategic procurement role in a large private or public sector organisation.
• Strong knowledge of commercial procurement practices including strategic procurement and understanding of risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualise, develop and review procurement policies, objectives and strategies.
• A strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility, as well as ethical business practices and creativity in identifying new opportunities to achieve social impact through procurement.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address complex issues related to the potential social impact of procurement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels.

Applicants with tertiary qualifications and further training within law, commerce, business, or a related field will be held in high regard.
