As the designated leader, you will take on the mantle of overseeing central procurement management across all WA-based sites, spanning from the Kimberley region to the Great Southern and everywhere in between. Your role will involve high-level communications and negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, fostering and continually enhancing relationships.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and continuous improvement of procurement and contract management practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies for building and Aged Care Quality standards.
- Oversee the entire procurement function for aged care facilities, coordinating daily operations and corporate requirements.
- Assist in sourcing and ordering products for Retirement Living, Home Care, and respective site managers.
- Conduct market analysis, scanning, and procurement planning for optimal value.
- Effectively manage communication and relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing to contract management activities.
- Conduct thorough contract reviews, negotiations, and execution. Spearhead the contract management life cycle for multiple categories.
- Organise and schedule maintenance jobs as part of the property asset department.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and Injury Risk Management.
- Comply with legislation, regulations, and internal standards for occupational safety and health.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, supported by a minimum of 4+ years' hands-on experience in Procurement, and a robust understanding of the commercial healthcare/aged care market.
- Highly regarded qualifications in procurement and purchasing.
- Proven experience in leading, managing, or coordinating teams within the realm of procurement and purchasing governance.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by a data-driven mindset and a high level of proficiency in financial and budget management.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with line management to achieve significant cost savings through innovative procurement practices.
- Sound knowledge of contract law and adeptness in project management processes.
- Track record in strategic procurement and contract management, inclusive of budget management (managing an $8 million budget).
- Acknowledgement of building assessment manager would be an advantage.
- A current driver's license and the ability to undertake travel across WA.
