Our client who is based in the northeast suburbs of Perth are a US and Australian manufacturer and supplier to the hydraulic drill industry and are currently looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to support our clients further development and growth in the market.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role will see you managing the procurement function for the group through developing and implementing strategic procurement strategies. The key focus with be finding cost effective, quality and low risk solutions.
Your core responsibilities will be (however, not limited to):
- Conduct market analysis and assessments of new and existing suppliers
- Perform sourcing processes, negotiations, and implementation of activities.
- Assist with regular reporting and discussions surrounding procurement.
- Develop and implement Supplier Relationship Management plans including reviewing current plans and performances.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders in relation to needs and commercial advice/support.
- Analysis and selection of vendors
- Between 5 to 10 years of experience within a similar position, ideally within a WA Manufacturing business
- Knowledge of contract management and negotiations.
- Adaptability to challenging situations and high level of analytic and conceptual skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills along with professional written correspondence skills.
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner.
