The Procurement Manager Whole of Government is accountable for coordinating and assisting the implementation of category strategies and plans, into the Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) and will provide guidance and support to the Indirect and Regional Teams and will act as a point of escalation for Whole of Government complex supplier and contract issues. The Whole of Government role will build a culture within Strategic Procurement which recognises and adopts best practice in relation to procurement and category management to ensure that value is delivered for customers, government agencies and particularly Hospital and Health Services (HHSs).
The Procurement Manager Whole of Government is responsible for developing and maintaining key contacts and communication channels across Qld Health and the wider Whole of Government agencies, putting in place transparent benefits realisation reporting and for ensuring that communication occurs to assist arrangements are executed that lock in the procured value.
The Whole of Government Procurement Manager will attend Whole of government meetings and act as the conduit between Whole of Government and Department of Health.

- An excellent knowledge of the fundamental principles, theories, concepts, processes and procedures related to procurement and category management; and sub-fields such as demand planning
- A detailed knowledge of the relevant markets and Queensland Health associated regional capability.
- A detailed knowledge of whole of Government, Government agencies and the role whole of Government procurement across the Queensland Health system.
