We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team in Brisbane or Melbourne on a 12-month max-term contract.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in providing capital project procurement services, including construction contracting, to APA Group Capital Infrastructure Delivery projects nationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support stakeholders such as Project Managers and Capital Delivery Managers, by providing functional and procurement services to support delivery schedules, drive benefits and ensure on-time and on-budget quality project outcomes are achieved.
- Manage assigned packages from planning and preparation of the request for tender (RFT), through negotiation, governance, approvals and award of contracts
- Deliver sourcing, negotiation of variations, changes, claims, disputes, amendments and contracting of terms and conditions to effectively manage risk and ensure optimum benefits for APA projects.
- Provide input and involvement into the development and execution of strategies, policies, and procedures to maximise procurement efficiencies for business units
- Identify and manage procurement and related project risks for projects, including staying up-to-date with any trends and external drivers which may affect delivery to ensure these are proactively managed
- Knowledge and experience in the procurement of direct services and equipment for major capital/construction projects and/or engineering works
- Experience in complex multi-party projects with technical development
- Demonstrated business acumen, including but not limited to financial, commercial, and contractual
