We are actively seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Contracts & Commercial team in our Brisbane office.
About this role
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the sourcing, analysis, purchasing and inventory control duties in line with project requirements. Ensuring that all goods purchased comply with the relevant technical standards, meet all quality, safety and environmental requirements for the Project and in compliance with Vinci Policies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain best for project products, where possible identifying potential alternative products and services to improve the finance, time, quality, safety or environmental performance for the project.
- Prepare ‘Request for Quotations’ including technical scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety and environmental requirements.
- Draft Services and Supply Agreements and negotiate Terms and Conditions with the Commercial Team.
- Respond to project and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Monitor order value spend and liaise with the Commercial/Contracts and Project Management Team to ensure funds and forecasted spend is revised when necessary.
- Ability to assist in the development of tender document responses, developing management plans, assisting the estimating team. Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholder to obtain best possible position in line with Spiecapag tender approval requirements.
- Provide a high degree of analytical procurement reporting to senior corporate and project management.
- Contributing and supporting the vendor due diligence requirements as part of the wider onboarding process, inclusive of onsite vendor visits and review of external database tools
- Regular assessment of the Vendor List to ensure vendor information and assessments are re-validated when required.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following;
- Purchasing or related experience in heavy or infrastructure construction, preferably in pipeline construction field
- Practical experience using an ERP system preferably Si Compta, or similar.
- High level of computer literacy, with specific requirements for Word, Excel and Outlook
- Analytical & problem-solving skills
- Financial and negotiating skills.
- Experience in estimation costing, planning, and working to a budget.
