With a national presence, our client is a large service provider who pride themselves on their ability to deliver a wide spread variety of essential services. With a strong customer service focus, they are highly regarded within their industry and are consistently striving for continuous improvement. Due to significant growth in the business, the organisation is now looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join the team to partner with leaders in the business to drive best practice.
About the role
As a Specialist within the team, you will be responsible for procurement and contract activities up to award. Your key duties will be:
Providing procurement advice and partnering with senior leaders and their portfolios to pre-empt needs;
Market analysis, sourcing and tender management for suitable providers across a number of services;
Managing complex contract generation and approval in line with legislation; and
The identification and assessment of risks associated with procurement activities and providing recommendations.
To be successful for this role you will have:
Proven experience providing procurement contract services in a medium to large geographically dispersed organisation;
Demonstrated ability in critical contract analysis with an understanding of common contractual provisions/mechanisms and their operation;
Previous experience in managing tendering activities from planning through to award of contract;
A partnering approach, problem solving skills and an engaging customer services focussed mentality; and
