We at Chandler Macleod are seeking a Procurement Support Officer for an immediate start to initially join on a max-term contract for a 3-day work week (this can change later on into 5 days) to support the procurement team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Lead Material Controller, to understand and support all Material Requests, including Part Creations in SAGE ERP, before raising Purchase Requisitions
- Work closely with Engineering, Design and Production Team Members, to establish correct Part Number and Quantities to be ordered for different vehicle builds.
- Create all Part Numbers accurately in SAGE or other ERP, as maybe available within the business.
- Raise Purchase Requisitions in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Supporting new vendor set-ups (Credit Applications, Vendor T&Cs [Legal], Managing the Set-Up Process).
- Sourcing services/goods, creating Indirect Purchase Requisitions, processing & issuing (generic, primarily indirect) Purchase Orders.
- Own specific vendors for wider business support, e.g. operational management of vehicle transportation, similar activities, etc.
- Providing occasional & emergency back-up support for Procurement Officer / Requisitioner role, as needed.
- Completing required vendor checking process, including establishing 3rd party contractors in the system.
- Confirming Bank Slip / Banking Details Finance Verification Process for any vendors in the system.
- Any other tasks assigned by Head of Procurement
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma / Certification in Business or Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical (desirable)
- A good understanding of Procurement, Bill of Materials, Purchase Orders / Requisitions and Inventory Management Principles and ERP Tools, Consumable Parts Stock Management.
- Adjusting approach in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment & possess can-do attitude.
- At comfort working in an unstructured & high-flux environment.
- Strong communication with cross-functional team members.
- Familiarity with terms of minimum order quantities (MOQs), Safety stock, Kanban, Part Number, Lead time, Just-in-Time (JIT), Capital expenditures and budgets.
- Having some commercial awareness of office support activities, pricing, GST, Logistics costs, customs clearance etc.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word.
