Purpose of the role:

The Energy Solutions Manager will play a pivotal role in the transition to and management of a new tendering and energy intelligence platform for Zembl, marking a significant step in enhancing its service offerings to Commercial & Industrial customers within the energy sector. The individual will spearhead the integration, optimisation and ongoing operation of the new platform, ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives.  

This role will involve close collaboration with various departments, including marketing, sales, operations, and external partners/vendors to drive the successful adoption and utilisation of the platform and the successful launch and operation of a range of new energy efficiency services while catering to the emerging needs of commercial and industrial customers in the energy landscape.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and operational aspects of the Energy Intelligence and Tendering platform, ensuring its seamless integration and functionality within Zembl's operations. 
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to develop and launch the Energy Intelligence product/service offering, aligning it with market needs and customer expectations. 
  • Work closely with partners to define product requirements, specifications, and success metrics, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. 
  • Assist customers in evaluating energy efficiency solutions using data from the Energy Intelligence platform and CRM, providing valuable insights and guidance. 
  • Drive continuous improvement of the platform through iterative product enhancements based on performance feedback and market trends. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and operational standards, proactively identifying and addressing any risks in collaboration with the Operations team. 
  • Manage the portfolio of existing and new products, defining clear KPIs to track performance and drive strategic decision-making. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison for platform-related feedback, escalations, and adherence to service level agreements across Tendering, Customer Care, and Energy Intelligence. 
  •  Provide support to the Tendering and Customer Care teams on platform-related issues, serving as a point of escalation and facilitating effective communication with partners to resolve issues promptly. 

Skills and Experience:

You will be ready to take on the challenge of leading the transition and management of our new tendering and energy intelligence platform. Your strong leadership, strategic mindset, and collaborative approach will be instrumental in driving innovation and delivering value to our commercial and industrial customers. Specific skill sets include:  

  • 8+ years experience in relevant energy, business development, channel management or sales roles 
  • Experience and knowledge of the energy market in Australia with focus on Commercial and Industrial customers and their energy procurement and efficiency needs 
  • Experience in the sales of electrical engineering products and/or services for commercial and industrial customers 
  • Commercial knowledge of energy efficiency, various technologies, and Energy Solutions 
  • Experience working with CRM and Customer Energy Data solutions to manage, report and track pipeline progress 
  • Experience with setting up, managing and improving operations processes and workflows  
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
