Your New Opportunity:
As our Product Manager you'll join a high performing team with the primary objective being to improve and standardise current product designs and engineering processes. You'll also play a leading part in integrating products into solutions with a strong focus on quality.
You'll frequently travel to customer sites to ensure customer satisfaction, and interface with customers and vendors on engineering matters. This role can be based out of Altona North VIC or Chipping Norton NSW.
About you:
- Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Minimum of 8 years industry experience with internal combustion engines/generators, or in a relevant manufacturing industry.
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Solutions desirable.
- Solid experience with quality and engineering/design processes & systems.
- Demonstrate expertise in the design of complex mechanical systems and their automation.
- Supervisory, leadership and project management/execution experience.
- Familiarity with relevant engineering tools.
- Advanced planning, organisational and time management skills with a commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
What you'll do:
- Review existing product designs for improvement opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering and quality systems and processes.
- Apply recognised standards and tools for product design.
- Identify weaknesses in product designs & implement the appropriate solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
- Address fleet product deficiencies, coordinating with vendors to find resolutions.
- Act as a client interface for field product issues, and manage implementation plans.
- Supervise engineering teams, provide guidance, and ensure documentation of processes and standards.
