We are currently seeking an experienced Product Designer / Draftsperson to join our team. 

This is an exciting and varied role that will expose you to many aspects of the CMI business and provide skills that will position you well for future opportunities within CMI. This position will operate across all sectors of the business to assist and improve process and methodology in what is a busy business environment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the design & development of product from conception, to sampling and production.
• Improve overall design and value through designing new products and strategies that increase overall profitability.
• Product innovation and technical design
• Concept ideation and sketching resulting in high quality presentations
• Technical advisory to the product / design team
• Deliver creative solutions, on-time and on budget
• Collaborate closely with Product managers, Design team & compliance
• Produce Fabrication drawings for custom fabrication projects
• Liaise and maintain relationships with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to drawings,

About You

• Experience within Structural/ Mechanical Drafting
• At least 2 years within similar roles.
• SOLIDWORKS experience is preferable
• Ability to read and understand detailed technical drawings
