Cookie Corporation has a proud history of manufacturing high quality Australian made Cookie and Biscuit products, with our head office and manufacturing facility located in Mount Kuring-gai, within an area of 2500sqm of production space and continuously growing.
Under our banner, we have 3 companies dedicated to our products:
- Our Cookie Man business, established in 1958, with our own branded products in key retailers (P&C, Supermarket, Hospitality), and a large contract manufacturing business for other brands. We currently have products in over 2,000 retailers nationwide.
- Mrs Fields Bakery Cafe business is our retail brand, comprising of 28 franchised outlets nationally.
- Our wholesale supply company ‘The Cafe Supplier’ distributes product nationally for our Mrs Fields business, and approx. 300 independent cafe customers.
About the role:
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in developing new recipes/products but also improving on existing products. Baker by trade desired but not essential, with the focus on all things Cookies, Biscuits, Cookie Dough, and new lines coming.
The role would consist of taking a product concept to the kitchen, sourcing the ingredients, proving the concept on small scale and following the journey through production testing all the way to market.
Qualifications & experience
- Experience in industrial bakery.
- Previous new product development experience.
- Strong understanding of current food trends and insights, flavour profiles, and culinary techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience costing products and managing the project from inception to production.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Research and keep up to date on trends in the sweet desert space, highlighting areas of opportunity.
- Identify growth opportunities and areas for product differentiation.
- Develop innovative and market-relevant recipe concepts.
- Evaluate and recommend ingredient substitutions or alternatives to optimise recipes.
- Conduct product reviews and continuous improvement based on operation, production and customer feedback.
- Ensure recipes fit the criteria for our production requirements.
- Procure new and alternative ingredients, and conduct testing of ingredients to validate suitability.
- Maintain detailed records of recipe development processes, including ingredient quantities, preparation methods, and testing results.
- Manage the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline and formulate the roadmaps to ensure their delivery.
- Project management for each NPD to ensure launch dates and targets are met.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and other teams to translate product vision into technical requirements and deliverables.
- Monitor product performance/life cycle metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
