The role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a great team of chemists and lab technicians working together collaboratively to provide first class support to our internal and external customers.
The full-time position, reporting to the Director of Technology, will be responsible for development of new formulations and product improvements in addition to other R&D work to support existing products. Using a consultative approach, you will build relationships with co-workers providing guidance to the team where required as well as using your own strong analytical skills.
You will also be required to partake in laboratory housekeeping, maintenance and quality matters, including calibration of equipment and documentation review. Opportunities exist to improve your knowledge and skill sets working with the Lab team to learn about industrial water treatment.
The modern laboratory is in Braeside with easy access from major arterials and onsite parking.
About You
- Bachelor in Science (with Chemistry major)
- 7 years plus food & beverage industry experience.
- Excellent communications skills and team player.
- Knowledge of surfactant chemistry and experience in Product Development.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and creativity to solve technical problems.
- Can guide/coach laboratory technicians on laboratory testing and prioritisation of work load.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
